Siriano's design philosophy mirrors his approach to fashion: a blend of daring, elegance, and a keen eye for detail. He treats each space as a canvas, where every element, from furniture to fabric to art, plays a crucial role. This philosophy is evident in how he incorporates art into his designs, ensuring each piece complements and enhances the overall aesthetic of the room.

"What was your most recent purchase?

I just bought a funny, cheeky, tiny painting of a white cup by Gordon Winarick. It’s super simple and something about it is very engaging; you could stare at it for a long time and it takes you somewhere. It’s 10 x 8 but it’s very impactful for such a small piece. The integration of art into his interior designs is not just about aesthetics; it's about creating a narrative. Siriano believes in the power of art to evoke emotions and tell stories, making each space unique and personal. The inclusion of artwork by up-and-coming artists like yourself in his projects is a testament to this belief. It's a collaboration that elevates both the art and the space, creating a dialogue between the viewer and the environment.

This philosophy extends beyond individual projects to influence broader interior design trends. Siriano's work encourages a seamless blend of fashion, art, and living spaces, challenging the traditional boundaries of these disciplines. His designs invite us to see our living spaces not just as functional areas but as extensions of our personal style and creativity.

"The whole point of the place is for it to be a little fancy. “It’s a total 180 from my Chelsea apartment, which was a big loft,” he says. “This feels very French, very elegant. I was looking for somewhere that I could fill with really gorgeous things that I knew wouldn’t necessarily get ruined, because I’m not throwing big parties here.” Take his vivid, 6-foot-tall Frida Kahlo portrait, painted by his friend Ashley Longshore and hanging in the entryway to his bedroom. After visiting the famously unibrowed artist’s house in Mexico City, he knew he had to have her energy in his space. “She’s one of the O.G. queens of the art world,” he says. She mingles on the walls alongside pieces by Sunny Sunshine, Ewa Matyja, and Peter Robert Keil." Read more on Domino.com
